I just spent some time with psycopg and have checked in fixes which seem
to work (tested with psycopg 1.1.11, postgresql 7.4.3, and python
2.3.3).  A caching service has been added.  (I've now got a copy of the
wnyc.org website running with psycopg on my laptop.)

Let me know if this works or not for anyone else.  Also, I wonder what
will happen if used with psycopg2, of which I've heard rumors -- I
believe it uses the builtin datetime module rather than mx.DateTime.
