Hi all --

Today I've bundled up a first alpha release of PyDO 2, a substantial
refactoring of Drew Csillag's much beloved PyDO ORM library.

The tarball is available at our berlios site:

   https://developer.berlios.de/projects/skunkweb/

or, more directly:

   http://download.berlios.de/skunkweb/PyDO-2.0a0.tar.gz

PyDO 2 is the descendant of the new-style class variant of PyDO in
SkunkWeb pylibs, which profited from the contributions of Jeroen van
Dongen, Brian Olsen, and others.

I want to stress that this is an ALPHA release. That means it will
have bugs, its api is subject to change, and it only supports
postgresql, mysql, and sqlite (and mysql support is a bit spotty at
the moment). An effort has been made to document rather thoroughly,
and there are some tests (not nearly enough, though).

Work will be ongoing in the trunk of the SVN repository at berlios.
Instructions are available here:

   https://developer.berlios.de/svn/?group_id=2506

(This release has also been copied to the "tags" directory.)

Cheers,

js
