| There is also a new function, "fetch", that enables you to get
| multiple PyDO objects at once, a la the old scatterfetch, and also to
| use just about whatever arbitrary sql you want. It gives you enough
| rope to shoot yourself in the foot. Because it is such a general
| facility, I think it should supplant arrayfetch and my half-hearted
| attempt at modelling joins. Would anyone weep if they fell under the
| axe? Does fetch seem useful? Suggestions, arguments welcomed.

It sounds like (one of) the sort(s) of things I was after.
I'll do an update when I get home this pm (svn/ssh doesn't
make it through the company firewall, alas!) and I can also
check in a corrected/updated MSSQL driver. In addition, I
had a quick peek at the pysqlite2 stuff and the core driver
looks like it can port without issue. The main thing
is the types / conversions business... I've printed out
the docs to read on the train home, so if I get busy, there
might be an experimental pysqlite2 driver by tomorrow.
