   I'm glad that helped. In general, every transaction ends up in the G/L ...
eventually. However, there are the supplemental journals for Accounts
Receivable, Accounts Payable, etc. which hold transactions not yet
completed. Regardless, there's nothing at all wrong with direct postings to
the G/L.

   Before I transitioned to SQL-Ledger, I used only a General Ledger and
maintained all the other journals on spreadsheets. So most of my bookkeeping
were direct G/L postings. PITA, but it worked.
