Educating clients vs. educating users:
These are two different beasts to contend with.
Educating clients is always necessary and good and saves you money in the
end no doubt.
You should NEVER educate a user. Technology is supposed to work. That's it.
Its just supposed to work. Don't tell me why it won't work for me, or what I
need to do to make it work better, and don't tell me about standards and
rules and code and yucky stuff like that. I'm going to have a hard enough
time using your product and learning that.
Seriously, keep technology where it belongs, out of the user's way.
I don't need to make users more computer savvy, I need to make systems that
require less savvy users.
