William, Jeff follows the modeling techniques described in usage-centered design with some alteration. Direct user observation (e.g. contextual inquiry) didn't get much weight in the tutorial I attended, however facilitating user sessions to uncover requirements and building role, task, and context models were. The tutorials were participatory and very much hands on. I found it quite interesting and applicable as I am working more and more in an agile development environment trying to see how my role and accountabilities fit in to this methodology. A sample of the presentation and handouts are here: http://abstractics.com/tutorials/ ---- On Mon, 11 Oct 2004, William Hudson wrote: > I am curious > to know if he talks much about user observation and other direct contact > with users? > What is Patton's take on this? --- You are currently subscribed to ucd as: [email protected].
