The original intent for JS support with ViewML was to support anything that 
kde's kfm did - which is to say, not much. ViewML isn't based on the konq 
code base, but the old kfm one (much smaller). This supported a limited 
javascript (for things like mouse overs) but not much else.

Adding "full" JS support to ViewML would take some effort. The framework is 
there, but none of the backend to really support it is present, currently. I 
would start with the existing JS code entry points, then toss all of the 
existing code to plug in something else. Unfortunately, I don't quite know 
what I'd put in it's place. Does anyone have any input on this?
