I think sticking to 'browsers' is less confusing all around, so long
as we make it clear we are not referring specifically to browsers
on computers.  Even the term 'computer' here is confusing ;) A PDA
is a computer ...

Note that 'Kleenex' and 'Xerox' are examples of localised language - 
I still find that I have to do a mental translation when a friend 
tells me he's been hoovering his house on the weekend.
