Does anyone have FTP working with Virtualmin? Sent: Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 2:03 PM From: "Kimberly Wilson" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Subject: [webmin-l] Allow Virtual Servers to use ProFTPD I am guessing that I just don't have things set up correctly to allow virtual servers to use proFTPD. I am unable to connect by ftp to the virtual server. I have to allow someone else to ftp into the website directory and I don't want them to go through ssh or port 22 and because they can move beyond the website home directory. When trying to connect to proFTPD on port 21; and I even shut the firewall to make sure it was not a firewall issue, I get the following: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. Connection failed. I assume that since proFTPD ships with virtualmin that it can be used to allow ftp connections to virtual servers website directories. Therefore, it must be a user error on my part. So if someone can provide a tutorial on what I need to do to allow virtual servers ftp access I will sign your praise to everyone I meet. -Kimberly ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot- Forwarded by the Webmin mailing list at [email protected] To remove yourself from this list, go to http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/webadmin-list ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot - Forwarded by the Webmin mailing list at [email protected] To remove yourself from this list, go to http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/webadmin-list
