DirectAction question

Hi list,

I'm in need of some help.  I have written a site that does a login page as
the Main page.  Now we have a need to connect to another site that has its
own page for the login.  They have suggested doing a Direct Action using a
post method to pass the user ID and the password.  Does anybody know how to
go about it?  

P.S.: I already did a direct action but using a get method, but they don't
want the parameters to show up in the URL (understandably so).
