Thanks Ian. Deployment is not an issue. Development is. The big blow comes from limiting those using Windows as single platform for all sort of works and development. It is not the choice we have, sometime, to use Windows as the single platform for development and works. Without Windows development support, WO will not be easily and conveniently promoted to Windows users. This is due to the user now has to get OSX before get to know WO. In real life, this is tough. Apple will then shrinking WO community indirectly. Like my case recently successfully converting a technology guy with background of Broadvision, Websphere and Weblogic, it will not happen then. Just a note from a Windows WO developer. Other may think otherwise. To my surprise, there isn't any pricing tag for WebObjects. Because it's now free. As usual, it has a tag price with MAC OSX (which it is given away as a package deal for the MAC platform). I probably missed any news release about this matter. Has anyone had any idea about the development support for Windows (for future release)? Has anyone recently made purchase and develop in Windows? WO 5.3.1 developments must be done with Xcode on OS X, so instead of paying $699 for WO, you spend it on a Mac Mini and get a useful machine. 5.3.1 systems can be deployed on "any compatible system" if I recall the wording correctly. Those who are developing for Windows would be able to advise you better. Currently, I am using latest WO5.2.4. However, if there is no future support for this platform, be it license or pricing, it will be a big blow to get developers who are using Windows as a platform for many reasons. Even if you couldn't deploy on Windows, that wouldn't be a blow – there's never been a better time to ditch Windows for Mac, and it's getting better all the time. But WO Windows support is good to ease the transition.
