escaping UTF-8 characters in webobjects webservices

Hi all, When you create a webservice in webobjects and send some utf8 characters back to the calling client, webobjects escapes UTF8 characters (and some other characters) to its HTML equivalent. & -> becomes & special char with unicode codepoint 8364 -> becomes € This causes problems for some client xml parsers (eg applescript and soap). Is there any possibility in webobjects to disable automatic character escaping in webservices ?
