It seems to be the same key for all platforms.  We have people  
developing with OS X and we use the same keys I think to deploy on  
Solaris and FreeBSD...  It has been a while since I looked at the  
keys etc so I could be off.

I would suspect however that you would need a Mac OS X box to justify  
having a key in your possession.  Don't know the politics and  
licensing of this.
