JSModalWindow and submit form

Hi all, I have put a repetition of ckeckboxs in a form. I would like to show the result of checked ckeckboxs in a separate window using a JSModalWindow. Using JSModalWindow, the submit of the form is not send to the server and the state of the ckeckboxs is not known. How can I force the submit/sending of data to the server before the creation of the JSModalWindow ? Thanks in advance.
