Yes, that's what the documentation suggests (and was inferred here).

No heard officially or unofficially about this yet.

I would guess not.  Perhaps you are expected to buy a deployment  
license (to deploy on Windows, Linux or Solaris) or buy MacOSX Server  
(which as you know includes a deployment license) to deploy on MacOSXS.

Just guessing though.
