I've given this some thought. Originally I was a bit upset about
this, but I got over it for a couple of reasons:

1) We were warned about this direction at WWDC 2004.

2) Apple is willing to "fix" the license to allow deployment on other
platforms.

3) It's just Java after all, it should run anywhere.

I wish Apple would reconsider this decision. I know they are trying
to "monetize" their products, and I'm sure those of us who need to
deploy on 3rd party platforms would be willing to pay a decent price
for licensing and support. I need to look up the email addresses of
the product managers, and send them an email w/ this suggestion. I'm
relatively sure that I could get my managers to pay $2000 - $3000 for
Solaris licensing/support.
