Howdy all. On the off chance that Apple *hasn't* hired everyone on
the continent for the music store and .Mac, I'm hiring a couple of
advanced WO people.
Senior Engineer
PGP is looking for a Senior WebObjects engineer to join the team
responsible for the internal systems that handle all sales, product
configuration, and order management.
The position offered is for a senior engineer, so we hope you're
bringing new areas of expertise to the team. You'd be joining a small-
to-medium group, working on a project comprised of ~6 frameworks and
12-20 applications, most customer facing but some entirely internal
and/or background processes.
This position doesn't require knowledge of public key cryptographic
mathematics, though enthusiasm for security and privacy certainly
doesn't hurt. PGP currently uses XML and EDI to communicate order
information with partners, and experience with those or other
technologies such as direct J2EE, familiarity with Oracle, etc are
beneficial but not necessary.
Responsibilities
Working with other departments to develop ironclad specifications
documents.
Design and implement larger features.
Assisting other engineers in areas of domain or technical expertise
within the system.
Requirements:
All requirements are above all approximations to what 'Senior
Engineer' means. Some guidelines:
* BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
* 5+ years of enterprise testing experience.
* Strong background with WebObjects/Java (Objective C experience
is significant, too)
* Experience writing specifications and requirements documents
* Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
