Qualified candidates will have previous experience managing a team of three or more software developers through a number of development cycles from inception to release. Candidates will need strong, web-based application architecture, design, development and testing experience, and must be comfortable with hands-on development. The role will involve building and managing a team of software developers responsible for ongoing development of a number of the company's health care applications. Required skills include: · People skills: hiring, motivating, mentoring and leading software developers. · Project management: project planning, resource allocation/coordination, progress tracking. · Development process: requirements analysis, software specifications, unit and integration test plans. · Application environment: Java, WebObjects using Java and Objective C. · Software skills: patterns/architectures for server-based applications, J2SE, JDBC, HTML and CSS.
