Our current web application environment is WebObjects, but we will likely be transitioning to something else over the next few years. ***************************************************************** Job Title: Software Developer Location: Redwood City, CA Status: Exempt, Full-time position Start Date: May 15, 2006 Summary: Health Hero Network, located in Redwood City, California, is seeking a number of Software Developers for its Web Application team. Qualified candidates will have industry experience developing server-side web applications in Java and possibly Java client (3-tier) applications as well. Candidates must have solid specification, design, development and testing skills, honed through multiple development cycles from inception to release. Key Responsibilities include: · Supporting and enhancing the company's existing web applications. · Developing new applications using JSP, Servlets, Struts, EJB, Taglibs, JDBC, Hibernate, Spring or other technlogies. · Unit testing of developed applications using JUnit, HttpUnit, JWebUnit. Knowledge and Skill Requirements: · 2-7 years Java software development experience (junior and senior positions available). · Experience with JDBC and Hibernate or other ORM solutions. · Good knowledge of J2EE, as well as Struts or other controller frameworks. · Strong understanding of OO principles and web application design patterns. · Good communication skills and able to draft high quality specifications. · Excellent unit test and integration test skills. Additional skills include: · Java client (3-tier) applications. · Apple WebObjects application environment and Objective C. · Solaris, Linux, Mac OS X operating systems, and the JBOSS application server. · Database access using SQL and health care data schemas like HL7. · Software tools such as Perforce, Rally, Eclipse and Ant.
