I don't share that position. There are better reasons for running away than
the current WO situation.

Now the alternative... Redoing things happens often in open source.

Hopefully, but IMHO the best reason for _not_ open-sourcing WO (at least not
in the "Bazaar" manner) is the lack of stability to count on. Most open
source project are moving targets (which is rather bad for a set of APIs)
and accumulate too much things one doesn't need. The combination of these
two reasons is e.g. the basis for _not_ using WONDER, especially if you
already have your own basic framework to rely on. Wanting to do everything
for everyone is IMHO doomed to failure. But then again, maybe that is the
reason for redundancy...

One's own CVS is probably the best business reason. Emotions are good for
the relationship to your wife, but not so much for you and your frameworks
;-)

The question is if people feel enough panic right now to justify such a huge
effort like cloning the whole thing. Apart from that, I have to admit that I
highly doubt that WO as a whole can be recreated within one man-year.

Which one of those is being used? One clone for each of them? *SCNR*
