I'd be (pleasantly) surprised if they do.  Apple does things when  
they are good and ready, and only if it is good for them (especially  
if it involves "bad news" or anything legal).

Open sourcing WO is not a good thing for Apple and won't happen - it  
will cost them more than the return on that investment and is not in- 
line with their general business strategy.

I agree with others - the only real solution is for the community to  
develop an API-compatible and open source version of WO (in Java).

However, I worry at how long it would take to reach the maturity of  
WO (at least the API is not moving fast ;-) and not be over-taken by  
other technologies in the meantime.
