Website Development Director

MyTripJournal, an established travel-blog website based in Vancouver,
requires a Website Development Director.

This is a key position requiring a wide range of duties including
maintenance of existing systems as well as planning, implementing and
evaluating improvements to MyTripJournal.com.

Candidates must be self-confident and work with minimal direction and
supervision. This position requires a generalist with a broad
knowledge and skill set. Desirable characteristics include:

=95	Knowledge of project management
=95	Expertise in application server systems. Specific skill in
WebObjects is extremely desirable
=95	Expertise in the Java programming language
=95	Competence in HTML and JavaScript
=95	Familiarity with set up and maintenance of Xserve and Xserve RAID
systems is ideal
=95	Experience in development and programming of SQL databases
=95	Familiarity with Apache and the setting up of a web server

University Degree or Technical Diploma in Computing Science or New
Media preferred

Experience: 3 to 5 years progressive experience with a large database
driven website
