MyTripJournal, an established travel-blog website based in Vancouver,=20=20
requires a Website Development Director.

This is a key position requiring a wide range of duties including=20=20
maintenance of existing systems as well as planning, implementing and=20=20
evaluating improvements to MyTripJournal.com.

Candidates must be self-confident and work with minimal direction and=20=20
supervision. This position requires a generalist with a broad=20=20
knowledge and skill set. Desirable characteristics include:
=95 Knowledge of project management

=95 Expertise in application server systems. Specific skill in=20=20
WebObjects is extremely desirable

=95 Expertise in the Java programming language

=95 Competence in HTML and JavaScript

=95 Familiarity with set up and maintenance of Xserve and Xserve RAID=20=20
systems is ideal

=95 Experience in development and programming of SQL databases

=95  Familiarity with Apache and the setting up of a web server

University Degree or Technical Diploma in Computing Science or New=20=20
Media preferred
Experience: 3 to 5 years progressive experience with a large database=20=20
driven website
