There's no documentation for JCAuthentication except what's in the
framework source code itself. You won't find references to it on
Google unless they're questions posed by yours truly about making the
framework into a JAR for servlet deployment.
Probably the dilemma you're facing is one where you had a
task-privilege based system (user can do X but not Y) rather than a
role based system (user is "Staff" which has these privileges) already
thought out? You probably want a role based system anyway, because
this more closely resembles an LDAP schema's organizational units.
(Talking out my arse on that last sentence.)
But what you should recognize is that if you already had set up a User
entity that had a login and password, you're already set up for
JCAuthentication.framework. All you need to do is get that custom EO
logic in the User class that creates the defaults for you on a user's
first login.
