Re: Upgrading GIT via MacPorts OS X Mountain Lion

I did install MacPorts yesterday for the first time after building git 
1.8.0 via make did not work. Did you do anything special to your bash 
environment/Mac OS X setup to make MacPorts run? I only ask because the 
first thing I had to do was create a symbolic link to 'make', because it 
now is in /Developer/usr/bin (and /Developer/usr/bin is in my path).

As far as I can tell MacPorts does not build because it can't find 
crt1.10.6.o which is in /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.7/usr/lib. So I changed 
the following environment variables, but how do I pass those to macports?

sudo ln -s /Developer/usr/share/autoconf /usr/share

export LDFLAGS="-L/usr/lib -L/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.7.sdk/usr/lib 
-R/usr/lib -R/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.7.sdk/usr/lib"
export CFLAGS="-I/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.7.sdk/usr/include"
export CPPFLAGS="-I/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.7.sdk/usr/include"
