Alternative to WML

Hi

Since it looks like wml is really dead I hope I can find some information in 
this list about alternatives (if someone reads it ;))

I like wml and use it to build a game manual.
It integrates more or less nice into the makefiles and generates static html.

Very usefull is the eperl feature. With this I parse unit/building config 
files to display properties like health in the documentation.

What maintained alternatives are available ?
