Well, it's ok to put this onto the website but preferably in a less
obtrusive way (smaller images and less obstrusive text box).

Sure, the navigation bar is 5 years old and from times where stylesheets
could not be used for great buttons. Just use XHTML+CSS to draw a few
nice buttons...

Hmmm... we have the mailing list and it has not much traffic? Do we
really need one more forum? I don't think it would be used very much.
Instead I sughest to just use MHonArc or similar tools to render a HTML
view of the archived mailing list.
