Hello,=20 I have been using WML before and found it great. I tried to install the=20 current WML (wml-2.0.9) on OpenSuSE 10 and I ran in to a couple of problems= =2E=20 =46irst, the compile died, when it came to eperl_proto.h: eperl_main.c: In function =E2=80=98main=E2=80=99: eperl_main.c:323: warning: =E2=80=98gid=E2=80=99 may be used uninitialized = in this function cc -O2 -march=3Di586 -mtune=3Di686 -fmessage-length=3D0 -Wall -D_FORTIFY_SO= URCE=3D2 -g=20 =2DWall -pipe -D_REENTRANT -D_GNU_SOURCE -DTHREADS_HAVE_PIDS -DDEBUGGING=20 =2Dfno-strict-aliasing -pipe -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=3D64=20 =2DI/usr/lib/perl5/5.8.7/i586-linux-thread-multi/CORE -I. -c eperl_perl5.c In file included from eperl_perl5.c:40: eperl_proto.h:56: error: array type has incomplete element type make[2]: *** [eperl_perl5.o] Fehler 1 make[2]: Leaving directory /home/jp/software/wml-2.0.9/wml_backend' make: *** [all] Fehler 1 wml-2.0.9/wml_backend/p3_eperl/eperl_proto.h , line 56: extern struct option options[]; This array seems to be incomplete, for whatever reason. I commented this li= ne=20 and the compile went fine - also, the tests succeeded.=20 Another thing, that bugged me, is that the "make install"-script doesn't se= em=20 to work well with the checkinstall tool. Besides, the ./configure script doesn't seem to bother about the=20 =2D-with-openworld option; although I have an eperl environment installed = on=20 my own, it simply uses its own eperl header file. Thank you,=20 JP _____________________________________________________________________ Website META Language (WML) http://thewml.org User Support Mailing List [email protected] Automated List Manager [email protected]
