Me again.

First the good news: The compile works fine on a SuSE 9.3 (without commenting 
the extern struct). So, this probably isn't your fault ;-)

SuSE 9.3 uses perl-5.8.6-5
OpenSuse 10.0 uses perl-5.8.7-5

Bad news is, still I don't know the cause or a correct solution. If you need 
any information, I'd be glad to help,
