issue/bug tracker at sf; was:Formulator DateTime validation bug

 Well, usually that fine. Though posting to the issue tracker is something
usually considered to be the "better" behaviour, sending the patch
directly to the dev list helped to get the bug out.
 
 The reason is that the issue tracker at source forge seems to be poorly
maintained, to say it moderately. I simply do not have the time to check
it regularily, and others seem not to have the time either.


 I wonder what to do with these unmaintained trackers. If they are just
a data sink, where people post patches only to find out nobody cares
about them, they are simply frustrating. Additionally one could guess
from those trackers that the whole project is unmaintained and dead.

 Maybe it would help to post some "unmaintained" issue to those
trackers. This would be a dummy issue telling all potential submitters
that they should _not_ post issues there, but post to the appropriate
list.

 At least thats honest and keep people from getting a wrong impression
about the project, not to mention the frustrating experiences patch
submitters have while figuring out the right place to submit their
patches.

 What do other developers think about the idea?
