What's New:

Sam Glenn has been
hand-selected to showcase at the 2006 International Speaker Bureau
Association’s Annual Convention in Indianapolis, IN, on April 20-22,
where he will present his humor filled message and on-stage chalk art
performance for a crowd of association executives and speaker bureaus.

Who Do You
Inspire? Why it Pays to “Pay it Forward.”

We make a living by what
we get, but we make a life by what we give. –Winston Churchill

I was once in line behind
an elderly man in the express lane of Wal-Mart. I was in a hurry, and
he seemed to take a million years. I watched the cashier, and noticed
how extremely patient she was. I was almost annoyed at her for taking
so much extra time to smile and give him the time of day. Why
couldn’t she just whip that change out of his hand and push him on his
way so I could pay for my stuff and get out of there?

The man teetered away,
and the cashier still didn’t shift her energy to me. Instead, she
yelled out, “Sir?”

I thought, “Gee, great,
she’s going to tell him she made a mistake at the register and needs
him to come back.”

But no. Instead she put
on the hugest smile I’ve ever seen and said, “Have you had a hug
today?”
