There is a large and interesting assortment of archetypes Fields and
Widgets in the archetypes repository under MoreFieldsAndWidgets. Is there
any possibilty that this collection could be moved into the collective
repository?

  ATBackRef
  ATGroupSelectWidget
  ATMemberSelectWidget
  ATReferenceBrowserWidget
  ActiveString
  AddRemoveWidget
  AutocompleteWidget
  CompoundField
  CoordinateField
  DataGridField
  MasterSelectWidget
  MxDateTimeField
  OrderableReferenceField
  PasswordField
  PeopleField
  PopupReferenceWidget
  PythonField
  TALESField
  TemplateFields
  TransformField

These add-ons don't seem to be deliverables of the Archetypes project
proper, and perhaps could benefit from additional developers with
collective commit priviledges.

The most interesting possibility, IMO, would be that the fields (and
widgets) all shed their demo code, and instead use the API of some
imagined FieldAndWidgetGallery product. I recall this being discussed
previously, but it becomes more relevant as the collection under
MoreFieldsAndWidgets grows in size and sophistication.

FieldAndWidgetGallery could be installed on development machines to allow
easy preview and interactive testing of all installed fields and widgets.
A uniform environment like FieldAndWidgetGallery may also be helpful for
in-browser testing, such as PloneSelenium suites.

FieldAndWidgetGallery would also be a good resource for the 'Plone Field
and Widgets Tutorial' writers to reference, perhaps integrating portions
of their tutorial text in some form of context help.

Thanks.
