hey, have you ever looked a bit deeper at the plone 2.0 ui? ;) we don't 
depend on scripting and we aren't going to (see "ie7" mails). tom would 
kill the guy that makes a plone release with "javascript enabled" 
dependency ;)

i think it's time to write some kind of policy or byelaws for the ui team ;)

but i think dhtml is probably the wrong term here - because most people 
would have horrible navigation menus in their mind. i think what chad 
meant were the action menus (aka add item menu), the date selection 
thing, and visual editors like epoz. which you can see as helpers, 
because you can do the same things, with other tools. it just makes 
things faster and/or easier.

regarding the ui concept: alex is considered as usability expert - as 
far as i know, he even tests stuff with "his" users. so i guess we're 
pretty good right now and in the future ;) increasing complexity for 
development or usability? i don't know how you see it but i think plones 
usability has really improved since 1.0.5. and we're rewriting some 
javascript stuff because some of the current stuff is bloated (the 
action menu js for example)
