Hi,

The last two weeks I've put all my spare time into finishing the two
projects ArchPackage and PloneHelpCenter for the upcoming plone.org
Product Area and Documentation Area, respectively.

They are now very close to being deployable, and they rock. ;)

I would like to ask any HTML- and CSS-capable person out there to help out
with what should be the first target of the Plone UI Team's interface
improvement effort:

PloneCollectorNG.

It is imperative that we get an easy-to-use Collector to use for the
product in the plone.org product area, and also for Plone itself. PCNG
fits the bill technically, but falls short in the UI department by the
(notoriously ;) high Plone standards.

It's a big task, and I don't expect people to do all of it in one go, but
there's a lot of improvements that can be done with a little concentrated
effort. The current UI has *a lot* of HTML/CSS and structural/semantic
problems in addition to needing a total UI overhaul.

If we could start by making the templates valid HTML/CSS, make sure they
display correctly in all browsers, and re-work UI elements that have no
place in Plone into the Plone standard elements, that would be a very good
start.

I've just put close to two weeks of time every day after work into these
other projects that will improve plone.org drastically, and if you could
help out with doing some of the legwork on PloneCollectorNG, that would be
very much appreciated.

It's not glamorous, it doesn't pay well, but it's the single most
important thing you can do for the Plone Community right now.

It's time to show what you're capable of, my friends! :)
