You can't, and you shouldn't be able to. Templates and slots are a design  
concept used to ensure the proper presentation of a content object. When  
you create a content object, it should contain content, and content only,  
not directives for how to present that content. There is no mechanism for  
using Page Template constructs in document objects, and that's the way it  
should be.
