i think you missed the point. not everyone knows about accessibility and 
semantic xhtml. and actually thats the way we want to show and teach 
people. there aren't many changes necessary to change the main design of 
plone 2. and we're going to extend that in the next few versions.

at the moment, template changes, or a skin from scratch, is able to 
(accidently) remove many many features plone comes with out of the box. 
unless you *really* want to remove the functionality we provide, thats 
bad, imo. and if you just customize some templates you may end up with 
errors. thats why i noted this.

changing structure should/can be very easy with the pagelets system 
which hopefully goes into development soon...

and actually, almost every website has similiar visual "parts", so it 
should have a similiar structure aswell (in a perfect world).

and please don't let this end up in a flamewar :)
