Copyleft and JavaScript

A GPL-related thread always seems to pop up semi-annually here,
plone-product-developers, or plone-users.  So while on such subject, I
got to thinking:

The GPL is still awful for JavaScript, though.  Really awful, because
it isolates us from sharing with a much, much bigger pool of
collaboration.

At some point, the Foundation ought to consider licensing things like
mockup and other modular JS bits under blanket policy of
JS-always-licensed-as-BSD; this serves a similar utility as the
re-licensed server-side packages -- even if the server-side bits
integrating are GPL.
