Framework team minutes, 2013-09-17

- Development on a new Diazo-based theme for Plone 5 has stalled. We 
need a volunteer to push this forward. Nathan van Gheem can provide 
mockups for the theme that was previously in progress.

- Rok reported on the online Pacific Rim sprint which worked on 
plone.app.widgets/plone.app.toolbar. He says they are close to another 
release and we can maybe start thinking about merging them for Plone 5 
after the Plone conference.

- David and Timo have been working on getting the tests passing for 
Plone 5. The remaining failures mostly have to do with widgets that we 
are anticipating replacing with plone.app.widgets anyway. The next step 
with tests is to create a test class that has PloneTestCase's API but 
uses plone.app.testing layers. Then we can get lots of people working on 
converting tests during the ploneconf sprints.

- A new PLIP was submitted: #13724 Make default Plone password policy 
support regexp. Framework team members should vote on the idea ASAP.

- PLIP updates:
   - 13679 (Automatic CSRF protection): David reviewed Nathan's 
implementation, which looks promising. We need to get the tests running 
so we can decide if it's ready to merge. Matthew Wilkes and/or Alan Hoey 
will also take a look on behalf of the security team before ploneconf.
   - 13700 ( Change to session plugin on zope acl_users replacement): 
Approved for implementation.
   - 13350 ( Define extra member properties TTW): Myroslav Opyr has done 
some fixing. Eric Brehault will review next week.
   - 13419 ( Improvements for user ids and login names) and 10886 
(plone.app.event): Rok will work on getting these merged.
