Framework team meeting, 28 Jan 2014

Discussion focused on preparation for the upcoming sprint in Cologne, 
Germany. There has been little work on PLIP implementations lately, but 
there is plenty to be done. I updated this Titanpad with my list of 
areas to focus on; feel free to add things that are missing: 
http://titanpad.com/Sfinb2geKV  (But keep in mind that, at least in my 
opinion, at this point our focus should be on finishing efforts that are 
already underway, not adding new things to the scope of Plone 5.)

One key question is whether plone.app.toolbar is usable enough to 
consider integrating it for Plone 5. Unfortunately Rok was not present 
to give us its current status. Those who were present are hoping to 
evaluate its status by the time of the sprint so we can make an informed 
decision about what direction to pursue.

Franco was not present but notified us that he will merge PLIP 13705 
(BASE tag removal) this week.

I submitted the upcoming Emerald Sprint 
(http://www.coactivate.org/projects/emerald-sprint/project-home) for 
consideration as a strategic sprint to be considered for funding by the 
foundation board. The sprint will focus on user/membership issues 
including PLIPs 13350 and 12870 and converting login and password forms 
to browser views and z3c.form.  The framework team approved designating 
this as a strategic sprint. (Full disclosure: I am on the team 
organizing the sprint.)
