The current community.plone.org is missing features to replace this list
and support the people behind this list (its consumers).

1) Anyway I'd really prefer some NNTP backed system, as this list is -
using Gmane. NNTP has some major advantages and fits much better as an
inbox than some webpage.

If theres an 2-way nntp proxy as it is for mailing lists, this would be
the way to go and support a more diverse world of developers.

2) Is the bug/ broken feature of sending replies on emails fixed
meanwhile? To not be able to reply by email is (was?) a real problem
with community.plone.org. Any github issue tracker does better here.

3) community.plone.org usability/ UX is far from optimal, 2 examples:

3.1) may we have a alternative more compact theme/mode to read messages
on community.plone.org? If I have to read through a browser I'd really
prefer more information at once on one screen page.

3.2) also its not possible to get a comprehensive tree of topics with
its threads and replies. Any stone-age mailing list archive view does
better here.

Dont get me wrong, community.plone.org is really nice, but its not well
done for power users. Its interface addresses newbies and here much is
done right. But if we start replacing a developers list and the scope is
broaden we need to make community.plone.org support features for power
users.
