Basically you could create a folder in the root of your plone instance 
called "groups" or something like that.

You can then create a folder for each class.

You should then give each member of a group the local role of owner in 
the class folder.

This will make it possible for the members of a group to share content 
and have a common work area.

Then you should create a link somewhere, where each member can find 
their "class" folder.
