publication archetype

hi i just joined this list and am a complete plone/zope newbie.  im working on an educational site and trying to make a "publication" archetype.  this archetype would consist of the following fields:

Title: Title of paper
(optional)Sub Title: Subtitle of paper
Journal/ Conference: International Journal of Software Engineering and Knowledge 		 Engineering 
Journal/ Conference Acronym: (IJSEKE)

(for Journal)Volume: 8
(for Journal)Edition: 4
Publisher: World Scientific Publishing Company.
Authors: Dr. X, Dr. Y, Dr. Z

then fields to add postscript, pdf, etc files and a plain-text/ html version of file.  what would be really cool is to have a python script that turned the ps/pdf file into plain-text or html automatically.

additionally, a default repository of journals and conferences should be provided with the ability to add more.  this way the repository would grow with each version from cvs checkins.

if this already exists, please let me know because theres no need to reinvent the wheel.  or if you are interested in this project/ and or have suggestions let me know as well.
