Introduction

Hi!

My name is Marco Federighi and I am the Sub-Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences at University College London (UCL).

UCL has adopted Zope for the whole university web site, and Plone will be installed as well. We are planning to use Zope and Plone to manage the bulk of our internal information workflow (for example, course and degree programme approval, committee meetings, collaborative projects). Three pilot projects are running, one in the Bartlett School of Architecture (Zope only), one in Registry (also Zope only), and one in Engineering (Plone).

We have agreed on the terms for a university-supported service and we will roll it out gradually over the summer and fall of this year, starting from the central web sites and then down to schools and faculties.

We are interested in the development of some custom features and we are exploring some usability issues. We think that collaborating with other university-based users would be very useful - from a simple exchange of ideas on this list to collaboration on development projects.
