May be we're able to present parts of the other specs too. It's really great to hear that. Our university is participating in pan-Canadian project to implement IMS standarts for interoperability between universities in Canada (EduSource). I'm really eager to see what you gyus have to say about your developments/research since Plone is considered our main platform for content management and learning objects are considered to be contents ;) > If you're interested in participating or contributing contact us : > jens dot klein at jensquadrat dot de > or Georg Pleger: > georg dot pleger at opensource dot ag > > greetz from tirol/austria > > Jens Klein > aka Jensens > > PS.: Our website eduzope.org is a bit outdated and a relauch is in > progress. Only a matter of time :-) We would really like to participate but more info would help us better understand EduZope's guidelines etc. So we eagerely waiting for site update. Some of the questions we have: 1. Do you store learning objects/metadata as raw XML or strip it to fields/containers and render them on request? 2. Do you plan to use different storage models (not types - like archetypes have it by default)? (our gyus are trying to implement Oracle/XML storage fully compliant with IMS specs. which will be used also from J2EE environment) 3. Is there any "staging" planned? Something like: "current editing copy", "published copy", "archived copy"? - -- Dmitry Makovey Web Systems Administrator Athabasca University (780) 675-6245 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQE/QPS+yDrVuGfS98QRAuJYAJsGZQCDy+wSEpFWs4l85Ec2iN3RDgCeP5nB KcwNbYtlvrYSneB6OB70X+E= =wplw -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by: Free pre-built ASP.NET sites including Data Reports, E-commerce, Portals, and Forums are available now.
