Hi, I was thinking about the open space about installers from the conference this year and i thought maybe it's time to pick up some ideas from there [see my mail from 2012-10-17 [Plone-installers] open space notes from the conference]. One question was to display something like a message window when you start the installer which is telling you about the system requirements, links to documentation and help. For linux/unix based system this could be easily resolved with a little whiptail magic [ http://linux.about.com/cs/linux101/g/whiptail.htm] which is installed by default on almost all distros [i did not check on solaris], since it's used for most of the distro installers anyway. I still have no idea yet, how to solve that on os x. So do we want to try to go this direction ? Maybe it's was already tried, but people decided for various reasons against it ? Before I start to spent some time on that, I would like to ask for input, opinions and if it's worth :) cheers /sven ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ LogMeIn Rescue: Anywhere, Anytime Remote support for IT.
