hi all! This is my first question on your list. Please notify and excuse me if my question does not match with this mailing list. I've a problem with linguaPlone. The behavior of member-folder-creation in my case is confusing. There is a posibility to set the language with a language flag, the posibility to us HTTP-ACCEPT-LANG and the user settings, but if a user is logged in his folder is in the neutral language and the user-menu too !? How a user should use a complex menu in wrong language ? Or is there a way to force using the user settings? And if so, is there a way to store his language setting while registration? use case: 1. foreign user (for example John) visits site in default language (for example:/de) 2. John sets his language (for example english) via klick on the british flag 3. John reads context in english and decide to join site 4. John clicks "register new user" in english 5. John fills in registration 6. John activates account ,sets up password and loggs in ,in his preferred language 7. System creates user Folder named john in neutral/default language 8. John navigates to "My Folder" to add his content ,in his preffered language 9. John edits his own content , in his preferred language The problem is that i have really much languages on the site and chines users can't use the german menu, so there is a chinese menu, they don't see because members folder is under the root off plone app, not in the users preferred language folder (/en in this example). So the described use case breakes at "8." because the edit menu view is in default language (german in this case) I want to keep the behavior that members content is neutral language, but want to give foreign users their prefered translation of the edit menu of their folders. Please let me win with your experience im really new to plone/python/zope and can't get rid of this case.
