Hm...

I see many people these days using Google Docs as a 'UI' for such tasks. 

If one could plug in the path to a writeable shared spreadsheet, the raw and translated texts could be exported to that doc, and presented for manual editing by a team.  This would make the task less lonely, and perhaps even fun.  Save that path in a file, so that it can be used for re-import 

Once the task was finished, the results could be whipped into a po file again for testing.
