We live in an imperfect world - with limited resources.
Almost everyone must carefully weigh whether the removal of
an imperfection (or bug) is worth the necessary effort.

Maybe, this does not apply to you? Then you may be the person
who submits a patch for this bug or fund its development?

A first thing to do is to file a bug report - and see whether
someone picks it up. If this does not happen quickly enough
(which I suspect), then you have various options (a.o. fix it yourself,
fund someone to fix it for you, switch to a system with perfect
WebDAV support, ...).
