That's why a solution like Alfresco is the way to go.
Plone is a WebCMS is a WebCMS is a WebCMS and it is not
an office document repository aka DMS. I can only
recommend not to listen to people trying to sell you Plone
as a DMS. Plone is the wrong tool here.
