Re: Status of collective.portlet.explore

At https://pypi.python.org/pypi/collective.portlet.explore/1.2, I am
mentioned as maintainer (kysr) of collective.portlet.explore, although I
just did some fixing, so maintainer is too much credit ;-)
I did not read all code of collective.portlet.explore. What I do know: it
works on Plone 4.2.7. We use it in production. When we tested
collective.portlet.explore, I was able to:

   - add collective.portlet.explore to the buildout-eggs
   - add one or more collective.portlet.explore-portlet(s) to a Plone
   4.2.7-site,
   - use the portlet(s) and see if everythings works fine
   - remove all collective.portlet.explore-portlets from the Plone
   4.2.7-site
   - remove it from the buildout-eggs
   - restart the Plone 4.2.7
   - verify Plone 4.2.7-site works fine (without errors in terminal)

So if you want to use it, try these steps on the Plone-version you are
using (in a test-environment). Once this works and you want to migrate (in
the future) to a new version of Plone, and collection.portlet.explore does
not work on the new version, you can always do the uninstall of
collective.portlet.explore on the Plone-version you tested before you
migrate to your new Plone-version.

If it works on Plone 4.3 or higher, let me know ;-). I need to migrate my
sites, but I currently have other (not Plone) projects on my mind...
